The Lost Quill Is Back

To those who have been in contact through email, my website, Skype and Facebook and asking that I bring back the old "Fireside Chat." Well, here it is again. It has been a roller coaster ride this past few years with all that has taken place and thank you for the many prayers and encouragement to return.

I attempted to resurrect the old name "Quill" and "Quill Again" once again but it seems to have been well used and taken hold in the Hub Pages Community. In that case I have decided to pen this in my own name. "Quill and Quill again and myself are all of the same person. But in any case welcome.

"The Fireside Chat" will always be a place of welcome to all who have followed in the past. It has become a place of many warm friendships I cherish and I thank you all for being a part of life here in Alberta, Canada. Mrs Quill as she has become well know passes along her warmest regards. The ever present Quigley is close at hand looking at dad as he writes. Her trusty ball close by in case it gets tossed, along with an array of toys spread all over the floor. It has become a trademark of hers to have her stuff close at hand.

Well, I suppose the best introduction for those who know nothing about me is in order. I live in Alberta, Canada on the prairies very near the Great Canadian Rocky Mountains. It is a playground God created for those who love nature and all it has to offer.

I recently retired from the work force and have started a new career. I have coined it as being "Refired." I guess God is not done with me yet. The blessing is I now have the time to do the many things I have been putting on the back burner for many years. They are many Fishing, photography, hiking and Bowling and just plain and simple having a great time doing so.

My values are simple and life is filled with a relationship with Christ my dear Mrs Quill, Quigley and of course you the reader. My writing is mainly about life in general and those simple and yet complex issues we deal with on a daily bases flavoured with the love of Him own provides us peace and fills us with joy.

We have all been down some roads we care not to travel again. I know I have, painful roads when we think of what others can do to us as we place our trust in them. Once burned we have a tendency to be a little gun shy and leery.

Such has been my road but in the end I have come out the winner. A survivor of the pain and suffering of those whom we trust. Those who have done to others will have the same done to them eventually if not worse as the Lord has promised the revenge is His. I leave it all in His hands and look to Him before making any of those choices again.

Welcome all to this place and may you find a blessing here. May you find this a place of peace and a place you can walk away from filled with joy knowing that you are loved by the Father and all who gather here. Be blessed this day and the many days to come in this a new year.
